“A Serendipitous Process” + OBR firm visit


Paolo Brescia , with Tomasso Principe, founded the firm Open Building Research a multidisciplinary work group that collaborates with various universities , such as the Academy of Architecture of Medrisio; Switzerland , the Aalto University of Helsinki; Finland, and the Academy of Architecture , Mumbai, India. The projects of OBR have been shown at the Architecture Biennial of Venice, The Royal Institute of British Architects of London, the Triennale in Milan, and the MAXXI in Rome. OBR has been awarded the American Architecture Prize, New York; 2016, The Inarch Prize for Best Italian Architecture ;2016,The WAN Residential Award; London 2012, the Europe 40 Under 40 Prize; Madrid 2010, The Urban Promo Prize at the 11th Biennale of Venizia; 2008, and the AR Award for Emerging Architecture; RIBA 2008.

Students visit OBR office in Milan for a tour of the firms current projects and a conversation about international practice.
