“The Lost Language of Cranes”


Valter Scelsi is an architect and researcher who teaches architectural design at the University of Genoa. From 2002 to 2010 his activity was linked to Sp10, the architectural office he co-founded. He took part int he 13th and 14th Venice Biennial of Architecture. Additionally he worked with Edoardo Sanguineti as founding members of the collective Magazzino Sanguineti (2003-2008).Author on several essays and critical writings on architecture, he has published articles in a large number of international magazines.He also conceived and edited the series Testi di Architettura , published by Sagep. Since 2013 he is a member of ADI Design Permanent Observatory / Compasso d’Oro Prize, and director of the University of Genoa Summer school. He was part of the collective project, Book of Copies, at the Architectural Assosiation in London in the exhibition by San Rocco Magazine, October 2013. He is co-founder of “SuperSuperStudio”, retrospective exhibition at PAC, in Milan, 2015.
